Well about half the year I have my hair very short, the other half I let it grow

when I do have hair, my hats that are 7 3/8 fit fine, but if i grow it out at all, it feels very tight. I have a feeling more times then not in the future I wont be shaving my head, so I wanted a bigger hat that didnt feel so tight

So now I ordered a 7 1/2, but this one, even with hair seems a little loose, im not sure if I should return it, or it just needs to be worked in...

maybe throw it in the dryer next time i do a wash and it will shrink slightly?

Wear it wet?

If that doesn't work, a delicate dryer cycle may do the trick.

Or, just have different hats for the seasons (white hats after Labor Day? Ugh!) :p

I think thats what I will try...just throw it in the dryer with wet clothes for like 10 minutes

Actually....wash it in your sink, and let it air dry. Do that 2x, and it should shrink.

I run into the problem of my hat getting smelly, and then I wash it, and then it doesnt fit anymore :p

just wear it a few times, get some sweat worked into the hat and it will shrink. whenever i buy new hats (7 1/2) its always just a hair too big at first, but after u wear it a couple times it fits perfectly.

Be easier to solve that problem if you used shampoo, or at least soap ;)

I'm 7 3/8ths too, and when I shaved my head they started fitting tighter too. W/ more hair 7 3/8th's is dead on for me, but now it's still not that tight. Only time I've ever had a hat shrink on me was when i wore it in the rain for a long pd of time and let it dry out naturally.
