decrease in graphics perfomance in XP

i was wandering if anyone had a big decrease in grphics performance when they changed over to win XP

i got a Geforce 2 GTS and it seems that the performance of the card has decreased a lot..

noticed when i play Counter strike...espeically when someone throws a smoke gernade.. didn't have this problems before...

i am currently using nividia 21.83 drivers..

i used other updated ones.. but it kept on crashing..


 
did u remember to change the max_fps or fps_max command in "config.cfg" in the cstrike directory? otherwise the game will cap you at 72 fps. my gf2 gts at home will easily reach the engine max of 99 fps no problemo.
