Decoding mp3 to wav produces "illegal copy" message in wav file

When I burn an audio cd either from wav or mp3, at later playback of the audio cd, a song will pause into silence, start beeping, a voice announces "illegal copy", more beeping continues, than goes back into the song. How do I prevent this from happening? What's the cause? I'm wondering if this the "digital watermark" technology that I've heard about to enforce copyright. Answers would greatly be appreciated and any links to other sites that address this specific issue too.

When I make audio cd's I'll either convert the mp3 to wav and burn the wav's to audio cd or I'll burn an audio cd directly from mp3 files. I use the winamp decoder to convert mp3 to wav and burn my cd's using Feurio.

Thanks.
