i'm gonna be getting an 8800gt soon. i saw 2 that i'm interested. they seem pretty much the same. there's like a 10MHz and $5 difference between them. the cheaper one comes with the game and has the higher core clock speed. but the other one (EVGA) has a limited lifetime warranty...unless the other one does and just doesn't say on the website. so any suggestions? i doubt i'd have a problem with the MSI one since it seems to be getting good reviews, but you never know. it'd probably crap out with my luck.

Do whatever makes you sleep well at night. It's only money and a videocard after all. :)

i was also looking at two different evga 8800 GT's one is stock clocked and one is superclocked

there is like a 30 dollar difference and the core is 50mhz and mem is 100mhz different,, cant i just overclock the stock card ? i like to have a card that is solid

You can OC the stock card, but it's a PITA in Vista. You have to disable UAC if you want to do it conveniently, and that costs you a fair bit of security.

That said, I would personally go with the stock card if the difference is $30.

yeah i asked the same thing on another forum. it was just a game forum though but they seemed to kinda know what they were talking about. and from what i heard, it just seems easier to get the factory overclocked ones...it just sounded like too much work for me and not very easy cause i have no experience with overclocking. and if it takes more than a couple of hours, i could have done something more productive with that time.
