Hey guys

I have a 6-month old Leadtek A400TDH (GF 6800 NU), and realised today that I can now get an A400GT TDH (6800GT) for what I paid for my 6800 NU originally.

Would it be a good idea to sell my existing card and get myself the GT? Or should I rather just wait until the next generation GeForce cards come out?

I'd say wait unless you're itching to play 16x12 with maximum details and then some (more AF or AA).

If your extra pipes and vertex shader work then a definate no.

Having owned a 6800, 6800 GT and 6800 Ultra ,id say dont do it unless you just want to play with a new card and want to burn some cash.

See , here is the deal even the Ultra cannot play max details @ 1600x1200 in every game so the 256mb of ram goes wasted. Though in some games it can. The 6800 NU can handle HQ @ 1280x1024 in almost every game though.

Honestly I will most likely sell my Ultra while its still worth something and buy a known good unlocked NU again.

If your extra pipes and shader does not work then id recommend jumping straight to an Ultra ..you will see a very healthy performance increase.

How would I go about checking if my extra pipelines can be unlocked? Does a softmod exist for 6800 NU's yet?
