should i just go for the ps1 tv? it'd probably work, i just need something to display text at something like a 400x300 resolution (would use custom res)
 
The PS1 display might be able to be hacked to display VGA 🙂

i'm not all that great with a soldering iron...what i was thinking about doing is just using the s-video cable out on the mini-itx mobo to just go to a converter and then to the tv... unless the tv will accept a s-video input. if it will, hey, then it's all the easier. i'm not too concerned about the quality of the video, hell, if i could, i'd just have it green and black text. but that wouldnt work with windows too well... i'm trying to put together a system that will work without a keyboard. a ps1 display at 400x300 with a trackball or something in the console is rather appealing to me... unless i somehow got it to immediately after startup open winamp, and then i'd just get something which could do UP, DOWN, and SELECT.

but could it be read? maybe at really REALLY low resolution... all that matters is that text can be read.


oh, and can i lock it into red and black mode? i dont want color.
