I'm looking for a quiet, good quality PS for under $50. So far, I've found these:

Enermax Noisetaker EG375P-VE-SFMA
Seasonic Super Silencer 300

The system is going to be:
A8N-E
3200+ Venice (will o/c a little but probably stay at stock voltage)
undecided on video card, but probably 6600GT or something less powerful
2 7200rpm drives
2 DVD/CD drives

They've both had good reviews at silentpcreview.com. The 300W should be no problem for this setup. What does everyone think?

Flip a coin?

Personally, I like to go with PSU's that have more wattage then I need so I can use them for several generations of computers. Certainly a good 300 watt unit will power that system fine but it might have trouble with components 2 years from now. If you will be using this comp for like 5+ years, then you'd probably need a PSU upgrade anyway (new connectors, form factor, etc) in which case it doesn't matter I guess.

i dont know if that is enough, it takes a lot of power to run 2 hard drives, and 2 cd drives, and a powerful video card. of those 2, the supersilencer it better. if you have like 10 more dollars, get the supersilencer 350w. it will be enough for sure. make sure you get the one with the all-in-1 version, i think they have that for the 300w.

seasonic 300 - 18A 12v
enermax 370 - 14A 12v
seasonic 350 - 19A 12v

Based on your setup, you will use a maximum of 270w under full load (would never happen).

I would get the Seasonic myself, but would probably want a 350w to leave some headroom for extra fans, more hard drives, and such.

i'd pick the seasonic, cause they're more power efficient and inaudible in my system, but that's just me.
