Deciding between MSI B350M Gaming Pro and ASRock B450M PRO4 for Ryzen 3 2200G build

Hi,

I am looking into buying a motherboard for a new Ryzen 3 2200G build.
The MSI B350M Gaming Pro and the ASRock B450M PRO 4 and the GIGABYTE GA-AB350M-DS3H are within my price range and are quite often on sale. The MSI and Gigabyte cost about $20 more than the ASRock though due to a MIR offer.
The PC will not be used for gaming but mainly web browsing and Youtube. I will probably only end up installing a Cooler Master 212 EVO cooler down the line in terms of doing upgrades.

Can you guys suggest which is a better motherboard between the two? Other suggestions for a possibly better motherboard will be beneficial too.

Thanks

At this point I wouldn't get a B350 board as the firmware may not have been updated to support Ryzen APUs.

Are you set on using a MicroATX case? Since you are going with Ryzen APUs, you want to consider board with both Displayport and HDMI.

Not necessarily, it is just that they are cheaper and I won't be using a dedicated GPU, so won't require much clearance. I will be getting a mid tower case and not a mini-atx case, so can get an ATX if the price is right.
Most of the motherboards I looked at have a DVI-D and an HDMI port

If you are planning on getting a 27" 1440p display, any half way decent one should have DisplayPort. If you board has both DP and HDMI you can then use both your moniter and a TV together.

Thank you. I did not know that and it will be for sure my requirement.

Damn, the price went up for the ASRock board.
So now I have to decide between the ASRock and GIGABYTE board. MSI is out of the question due to only having two RAM slots.

Good thing I'm not building a system right now, the boards I was considering are all out of stock.🙁

Definitly get a 400 series board, the 300 series was OK but at this time the 400 series is better bet.

The Asrock board looks like a good deal.

the ASRock B450M PRO 4 is a great board, end of discussion! if its 20$ more its ok still get it, i avoid msi personally.

Ordered the ASRock B450M PRO4!
It went on sale once again on Newegg Canadian website and at the samne price as during Black Friday. Ended up paying around $50 US after the MIR.

Thanks guys for suggesting and confirimg my purchase. Don't know why I was hesitating so much when it was too obvious that the ASRock was the best choice out of the three. Both price wise and features.

You should be very happy with this board. ASRock is a good brand.
