Thanks for all of the feedback, pictures are comming this week :D
Got a good deal at the dealership as well, I will get them for $330.00, including the tax, so it ain't that bad + lifetime free ajustments...
Edit: It looks like the 4100 will be called 3900 for 05 model..

$330 is pretty good... :)

My friend was looking at one and they wouldn't go below $330 w/o tax...

What are you going to do with it?

Ride it?

I mean, on what? I recently picked up one of these and I've mostly been doing urban/skatepark riding on it.
Why would you ride a mountain bike in a skatepark? Do you not have any good trails around?
I feel sorry for you :)

His bike isnt exactly a pure mountain bike... its made for dirt jumping/urban and trails... so it'll be just at home on a skatepark... basically a cross between the two... :)

Konas are weird. I have a mountian bike for mountain biking and rollerblades for the skate park.

Why would you rollerblade in a skatepark? Do you not have any good place to play hockey around?

Same thing. Ride whatever you like.

Ditto!
The dealer have said that it is like 70% mountain bike, 30% road bike. This bike has double walled rims and ajustable suspension so I sould be able to take it off road, however it will do just fine on the regular bike path, because of the tires. This make it sutable for me since I plan to ride 50/50 on and off road...
Edit: I have to admit though, that I got all of the other accessories at Wallmart

Well, I have a specialized mountain bike, and I ride it to work too, but I put on slick tires on it. Seems like a waste of energy to be riding knobbies on concrete. Is it just for appearances?
Is it a BMX type of thing except on a mountain bike? I must admit, I don't get the point of it.
I rollerblade on the beach mostly. I don't play hockey because I can't maneuver too well. Just got my rollerblades last week I am newbie :)
Does your Kona have only 2 gears on the front?

Yeah, it's kinda similar to BMX, but on an MTB bike. The point of it is that it's fun.

Yeah, there's only two chainrings and the bashring up front.

So what's "urban" mountain bike riding? Do you mean stairs and stuff? I should try it out.
So far I've riden fire roads and singletracks in the hills here, which is a lot of fun, but haven't tried "urban" riding. Is it legal?
Not having that third large ring in front really hampers the commuting ability of the bike, IMO, because the gearing maxes out too low.

Yeah, urban riding is a lot of the same kind of stuff you'd do on a skateboard. I've never heard of any problems with legality. There's no "no biking" signs near stairs or anything.

I couldn't commute to work anyway, it's over 20 miles. I don't want to spend 2 hours getting to work every day.
