i am running 2.82ghz configured and benchmarked as follows:

1.73v
235x12=2.82ghz
5:4 235(940):188(376) 2-2-2-6 2.78v vdimm

sisoft mem: 5149/5149
sisoft mult: 17229/21221
cpu arith:7115 2077/3815

temps load cpu/chipset/psu: 52c/26c/29c (approximate)
temps idle: 42c/24c/27c

i'm happy with this
i'm sure this chip wouldn't last forever at this voltage put since i plan to get a prescott soon i just wanted to know what i could compare it to after upgrade

overall i like the 5:4 fsb/mem ratio because at 2.82ghz i can outperform a 2.8ghz sisoft score and a 200fsb mem score with only 188
i can't really say much about game benchs but seti likes this setup enough to do atleast 10 packets a day

also i tryed up to 240 fsb with unstable results(even with 1.75v) then i tryed 237 and got 2 errors in 4 passes with memtest86+ so i dropped it to my current setting(ran memtest86 a few times) and am giving it a try at the settings above
i'll keep you all updated and give me some comments too!
pretty good for a 1.8ghz P4m huh ?

yeah my mushkin memory runs those settings at any speed i can get the memory to run (about 220 to 235mhz max maybe, but can't do 1:1 very good)

ok the system rebooted on me once and unreal tournament locked up on me twice
i tryed upping the vagp and putting the vcore to 1.75 but it didn't help
looks like i'll have to take a few more mhz off

didnt you try this already? :confused:

here's what happens when i bump my vcore to 1.7v.... CPU-Z ;)

which bios version are you running?
IMHO: v14 is the fastest and most stable.

:D

At 1.7v actual which is 1.75v set in Bios I can boot into windows at 300fsb though no where near stable but could get a cpu_z screen post if needed...Even run a couple of sandras if I use 1.75v actual...However I want this chip around awhile that is why I don't take C chips past 1.6v actual ever.....

p4a's = 1.7v max
p4b's = 1.65v max
p4c's w/ HT on = 1.6v max

ok it appears that 12x230 is fully stable with a 1.73v actually
yeah i have the latest max3 bios installed
i think my board came with the lastest so i havn't messed with any other version
i'll prob order a prescott this week (so i'm not too worried about my voltage)
i wan't either a 2.8 or 3.0 retail if i can
but i might get tired of waiting
hahaha

i'm gonna get me a raptor or a scsi drive
and i'm kinda eye balling some of that pc4400 but i dunno with memory prices these days
