I've had short hair most of my life, ranging from absolutely bald to about 2.5" long. It looks pretty good, but i think it looked it's best when it was at it's longest several months ago, and others seem to agree. So i'm gonna start growing it, and will eventually end up with something similar to what's seen on this pic. That's Colin Farrell, the guy from Phone Booth, The Recruit, Minority Report and so on. Pic. Does anyone happen to know how long it will take me to get there? It's about 1.5" right now.

True. It also depends on his hair type - thick, thin, etc. I tried growing my hair out last year and it didn't work too good. I'm doing it again for the hell of it this summer while I'm not working in the corporate world yet :)

I use molding paste right now and it blows away everything i've ever tried. Probably gonna stick with it unless something better comes out. I also have a good hairstylist, and i don't think he'll have a problem getting my hair to look that good. The only person who's gonna have a problem is myself, with combing it every morning :D

Least a good 5 inches. Believe me - I tried growing mine out last year - it will take about 6 months to get it to that point. (Also note his hair isn't layered - the length is starting from the top of his head)

While I was sick with mono I didn't get a hair cut so I finally went yesterday after about 8 weeks - usually I get it cut after 4 or 5. It was pretty decently long - I kinda liked it - it needed a little trim in the back, but it was growing in nicely. But anyway, I got it cut and the barber who has been cutting my hair for a few years now decided to mix it up apparently. He started by saying, "Same as always?" and I said, "Yup." When he's done, he hands me the mirror and it's a lot shorter on the sides and back than it normally is and a little shorter on top and in front. Gah! It looked so damn stupid yesterday. However, it's already grown a bit...my hair grows so damn fast. I might not cut it for a few months...I'm tempted to grow it...

A small salon downtown.

Exactly. I just look better with longer hair.
