Decided - going NV for another round

So I got some questions. I think I found my answers, but just figured I'd get some second hand input.

I want to go water cooled for this (mostly because some life change got my rig basically next to me and the quieter the better).

Top dog choice is:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...44&cm_re=980_ti_hybrid-_-14-487-144-_-Product

But that SOB is not in stock anywhere I've looked (heck Amazon doesn't even list it anymore).

So, I figured alternative would be to get a ref card and this once it becomes available:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...05&cm_re=980_ti_hybrid-_-14-998-105-_-Product

It says it works with any ref 980 ti, but I'm left wondering if I should get the EVGA to rule out any incompatabilities or am I safe buying whichever ref 980 Ti I can find?

Third option is if the cooler above doesn't come in stock before this product launches:
http://www.corsair.com/en-us/hydro-series-hg10-n980-gpu-liquid-cooling-bracket

I got an H50 rev1 and H60 sitting on shelves so this option is cheaper and lets me put some old parts to use.

Anyways, what ref model would you guys suggest? Saw this one with a $10 GC and Akrham Knight:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814500376&cm_re=980_ti-_-14-500-376-_-Product

But I've never owned/bought a Zotac product. I will assume since it's ref it would be the same as any other ref model.

Thanks for any feedback/suggestions.

EVGA is releasing water cooled versions. Both one to put into a loop you have and one that comes with a CLC.

I know, it's my top choice in my list of what to buy. But there is no ETA and I'm tired of playing the "Wait and See" game. I just want to buy something, and get back to 60 FPS at 1440p. Right now I'm playing with a GTX 680 and CF 290X which aren't permanent.

Since stock around launch was very sparse, I ordered a straight reference card directly from Nvidia as they were the only ones who had stock on launch day that I found. Threw a Titan X waterblock on it from EK and called it good.

Yeah, I think I just saw your post some where else, you're getting 1400+ on the core. Nice.

I might just order now, and then get a CLC when the option is available. Even at stock settings the 980 Ti is a huge upgrade over my 680.

Yeah, stock settings are enough for me. I just played with the speed to see where I could take it. I only have 1080p right now, but I'm planning for VR. On water my reference board will scream.

I came from a GTX 275, so even the stock speeds are enough to bewilder me. I waited way too long since my last build and it's nice to feel like I'm with the times again. Though, that 275 was still serving me pretty well. Elite: Dangerous was the game that was really starting to show me I had to upgrade.

Just ordered the Zotac Reg 980 Ti. Will be here Monday 😀 I can't wait.

Will order a Backplate (because I like how it looks) and hopefully the HG10 N980 is released soon.

Here is to Nvidia owning me for another cycle. Oh well, if the TDR bug is finally fully resolved, I got zero complaints (minus their choke hold on PC gaming :/ ).

The only issue I've had graphically is the Chrome driver not responding bug. Haven't had it since I went to the hotfix driver release. Solid piece of work for a recent launch.
