Decided against getting a truck

and pretty much got the polar opposite. It's an 09 Focus, and gets over 400 miles per tank...some people in the dealership were saying that they are getting 38 on the highway...pretty amazing, considering it's a peppy little car with a decent engine.

Clean lines, decent interior, fits my 6'3'' frame comfortably...I didn't know Ford had it in them.

I like it (except for the front), the Duratech engines are supposed to be real good, congrats to buying a fine American sedan..

It's not my favorite in the styling department but I can see why some people like it. It's been getting solid reviews, as does most of Ford's new models. Ford has done what GM is trying to right now, a comprehensive redesign of all of their core products. It's really showing in the cars they're selling right now.

good choice, they look like very nice vehicles.

Now just get that damn dealer sticker off of there, tint the windows and you're golden 🙂

Yeah, and then there'll be something better for 2011, so wait for that. No! The 2012 model will be even better, so keep waiting...

Just looked at the 2010 model, and I don't like the styling at all. It looks like they are trending towards a hatchback look...not a fan.

Nice, my sister bought a Focus a year or so ago, nice little car with great mileage. Amazing amount of car for the money.

The windows look tinted ... ?

But YES to removing the dealer sticker. Get it off before the paint underneath is a different shade than the rest of the car or the adhesive does a number to it.

What's the easiest way?

I'm a fan of fishing line and a clay bar for remaining adhesive.

I had the dealer remove their decal from my truck since they wouldn't agree to a advertisement fee of $100 a month. They did a nice job removing it.

I took mine off a couple months after I got the car.

If you google, you'll find all sorts of suggestions. Looking back, the smartest thing to do would probably have been to take it to the dealer and have them do it. If they won't do it for free, why not take it to _another_ dealer? Certainly they'd want to take off someone else's decal.

I can't recommend it, but what I wound up doing was peeling off slowly and evenly, then cleaning the residue that remained off with a _very_ small amount of wd-40 (it was all I had at the time), and waxing the whole car a couple weeks later (wd-40 strips whatever protective film is over the paint). I can't tell it was there at all, and I'm very happy it's gone. The end results were good, but I still wonder what bad things the wd-40 may have done to the paint.

If you do want to try what I did, I think some google hits recommended heating it up just a bit with a hair dryer first, to get the residue to lift off a bit more cleanly.

The already mentioned clay bar + fishing line (or dental floss?) is probably a much better idea than what I did.

Not a fan of the looks, but I had a focus sedan back in highschool... nice little car. I would've gone for a used SVT, the depreciation on those things is a killer.

You're fine. People have been removing stickers from motorcycle tanks for years.

The easiest way is to heat it up a bit with a heat gun or hair dryer and slowly pull them off. Clean up the residue with goo gone (in a plastic bottle, NOT the metal tin goof off) or wd40.

Your paint is fine. Bikes come with stickers on the tank and I've removed at least 9-10 over the years.
