Decide: US or Israel?

While going through numerous threads in P&N I have noticed the startling support for Israel over American interests by fellow Americans.

My question is very simple and aimed at American citizens, for or against Israel, in this forum. If you have to choose between your own country, the US, and Israel, whom would you choose to support first and foremost? Out of the two countries, whose interests would you keep above the other?

I would support the United States over any country in the world no matter what the cause. I will question my country if I feel it's in the wrong (like a good citizen should) but that doesn't mean I wouldn't support it if push came to shove. Israel has no support or sympathy from me. I had a fairly neutral view of the Pal/Israeli thing before but after seeing the extremes Israel went to in Lebanon, they lost all empathy I had for them.

Why would you even ask this question, who would actually choose Israel? However, usually Israel and the US have very similar interests. It's in our interest to support Israel...

US and Israeli interests don't overlap at all in the middle east. The US wants to secure democracy there and/or stave off Chinese influence, the Israelis want to subdue their neighbors. The pro-Israeli lobby and their supporters like yourself would have us believe otherwise though.

This thread brings up an interesting question, do you guys consider dual citizenship holders a liability or asset? IMO dual citizenship means you have split loyalties and are unreliable.
