I posted a thread about the disapparence of color temperature settings on Catalyst Control Center after installing 14.9. Here's the link:

http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2402461&highlight=

If you have any solution that i didn't try about this, please help. If there's no option to bring the color temperature settings back, i have to install f.lux. But i deeply hate it. It's a kind of any port in a storm case.

This software messed color profiles and i couldn't fix this until the re-install the Windows. Uninstalling this program doesn't help, because it corrupts somethings on the OS. And if there's no choice, i will install it. But i don't wanna re-install windows to clean the mess of this software. Which things i must back up to save current settings. I have a backup of registry but i don't sure it is enough or not.

So what's the issue here? Are you saying that F.lux is messing up your color profiles? I've been using F.lux for years, and I don't think I've ever had it mess up anything.

I'm not at home right now but I can check my CCC later tonight to see of the color temperature options are there.

Yes, after uninstalling it, corrupted colors still persisted. It changes something in Windows, and i want to know which things. I am concerning that backing up registry isn't enough.

Author of f.lux here - we know that several video cards try to 'remember' our profile (this seems to be fixed in many newer drivers), but it is nearly always a buggy driver problem.

https://justgetflux.com/faq.html - Our FAQ gives these instructions:

I uninstalled f.lux and my computer is still orange, what gives?
Some users have encountered a problem where f.lux is no longer running but the screen still appears tinted. If you have checked the Processes tab in Task Manager and there is no f.lux process present, this means another program has absorbed the f.lux color profile. The workaround to restore your screen to its normal profile is as follows: Reinstall f.lux. In the Settings Menu, set both the Night and Daytime sliders to daylight. After 24 hours, any other programs should have re-absorbed the new profile, and you may uninstall f.lux with no more changed colors.

Hello herf,

Thanks for creating f.lux, I've been using it for almost 4 years now and I've very much enjoyed it. I've never had any issues with it permanently ruining my video driver settings (or any other part of my PC, for that matter).

My only complaint, however, is that it does mess with the performance of some video games, even when I run f.lux in "Safe Mode" (a recent example would be Alien Isolation, where even with safe mode, I noticed some stuttering and uneven frame delivery). I understand this is a complicated issue though. For many games nowadays I simply exit f.lux before playing.

Thanks for reply. I'll try it.
