decent psu for r290

What is a decent (very reliable) psu strong enough to drive an r290. The setup would be mini-itx with i5 or i7 not overclocked; 8 gb of ram pc 1600 cas 7; 1 hd 1 ssd 1 optical. I was thinking a gold 650 or 550 - maybe eva b2 or seasonic x 650. The problem is that when I start reading reviews on psu it seem a lot arrive doa these days (reason i'm avoiding rosewell capstone is so many reviews describe it as doa). Bit confuse as to whether a 650 is really required or a 500-550 would be strong enough. I figure under max load the system should require close to 430 watt and i think you want to run these at below 75% which would make a 550 borderline and a 600 a slam dunk ?

The seasonic seems decent but have had a rash of unexpected failure. Also which version is modular ? I know that antec truepower and xfx are modular but not finding the modular version of seasonic labeled version of seasonic 🙂

Isn't the X series different than the S12G series (the X series is modular).
