My old man has an older system with an AGP slot (A7V to be exact), and so he wanted to a new graphics card to drive his new 22" monitor. I told him if he gets a card to fit his old computer he'll need a new card again when he gets a new motherboard. This was a week ago.

Anyway, now he wants a new motherboard, cpu, RAM and I don't know what boards out there have AGP, if any, and if there are any decent AMD AM2 board that have AGP slots.
Recommendations?

Thanks!

The card he got is a saphire x1650 btw

Let your pop know AGP is in the past.
It would be cheaper to buy a pci-e motherboard, cpu , ram, and a cheaper pci-e card that performs faster for his 22 inch monitor. You could sell that AGP card on ebay or in the FS/FT forums and buy a same pci-e card for the same money as you got for the AGP card on ebay.

Heres a great combo AMD x2 3600 cpu with motherboard (that should overclock if you want) at newegg for 147.00$ Scroll down to the last one..........

Heres the best deal on Super Talent ram for this board for 109.00$ for 2 gigs.

I'm not sure what x1650 card he has in agp but heres one in pci-e form for 60.00$ (I'm sure you can get allmost this much for his AGP version on ebay)

That's 306.00$ for all his components . If it were my pop, this is would I would do for him.
