Decent HSF for a Mobile Barton?

I'm looking for a reasonably priced heatsink and fan for a Mobile Barton 2400+ that I'm going to be purchasing here soon. I'm going to (obviously) be overclocking it.

I know this has been covered in the past in threads such as this one. However, I'm not sure if I can see myself spending HALF of what the CPU costs, just on a heatsink such as the SP-97 or SLK-900. Are there any cheaper alternatives (say $20 or less) that I could go with that will still be considerably better than the stock HSF?
 
depends if you want quiet. the slks are expensive, but they work very low with low rpm. think about it this way. if you oc successfully, yout getting a cpu that costs way way more, the price of the cooler will be nothing compared to that difference🙂
 
WOW thats a great price for a SLK, i paied 45$ for mine, i have mine with a vantech tornado 80mm, it loud but my 2400+ is at 2.5GHz and running at 36C, if you want quite get a 92mm panaflo and your good to go
 
So would you guys say that the SLK-947 is worth the extra 4 dollars over the ALX-800? I didn't see any reviews comparing these two, however I did see some reviews comparing the ALX-800 to the SLK-800, and the ALX-800 actually did slightly better.

imho you're getting a lot for $4.00 this time since the SLK-947U is universal. a big plus for people that own both AMD and Intel machines. 😀

Yep. That is an EXCELLENT price for that HS. Pair it w/a 92mm Panaflo medium-rpm fan and you're set.

I have a SLK900A with a 92mm Panny; it's awesome.
 
Awesome price on the SLK! What size fans do these fit? like 92x92x32 format so I know whats to get. Im ordering one for sure!
