damn, too bad. With a little patience and some of those refurb/mid range dell machines mentioned above, and a new ~470X (~$150.) to be released, hopefully, at the end of the month, he could have easily handled Skyrim.
For $230 at that time, He "could" get a 8GB 480 and be good for the next 3-4+ years of DX 12 games. (though horribly bottlenecked by CPUs, I guess) ("could" = demand + availability)

kind of cheap video card but I'd bet its better than internal. Look at the memory its one 8GB stick so you could go to 32GB if needed.
