Looking to replace the stock stereo in my 4runner with a nice in dash unit that can sync with my phone, do handsfree calling, take commands like "Call Joe Blow on Cell" and it will place the call, etc, and play over speakers while I use the microphone, plus, be able to accept a backup camera which means it has to have a large screen. Any of you have an aftermarket stereo that does all this and like it?

It won't be the cheapest option but I wouldn't be looking at anything other than an Android Auto head unit right now.

Unfortunately, that has a resistive display. If you want to step up to capacitive, you're looking at a hefty price premium:

A standalone Android head unit is also a (much cheaper) route to take, but Android Auto is pretty slick.

JLee, I also looked at the AVX-4200NEX but would rather have the 4100NEX since the only difference appears to be iphone/ipod version integration. Price is around $350 though which is almost $100 more than the android 6.0 unit. I do see many negative reviews of the android stereo though which say it dies prematurely. I don't want to spend more than around $300 and that includes the backup camera/microphone/etc.

Where are 4100NEX's $350? My MR2 needs one. :)

After reading this thread, I bought a $30 doodad that adds an aux port to my stereo. I will catch up with you guys in the 21st century someday. Promise!
