decent digital camera for under $500?

any recommendations for a digital camera for under $500? been looking at the canon s10/s100 simply because of the size...any comments or suggestions? thanks in advance.

dude...check out the big thread on the kodak dc4800, you can buy it from the gateway.com accessory store for $474 after $50 coupon from techbargains, and it has a $100 rebate making it $374 for a 3.1megapixel 3x zoom camera.
