Decent DDR mat for PS2?

My roomies are all big on the whole DDR thing, and they've been wonderful lately, so I wanted to get a mat and the game for them, but i want to make sure i'm not getting a piece of crap. Suggestions?

Ebay. Look for the thick foam ones. If you want durability, cut office pads to fit in them.

Also, which vresion of DDR for PS2 is good? Is there a difference between them? Clearly I know nothing about this... I think i've done it all of... twice?

I've used the Ignition, but I found that the one's from Ebay are comparable in quality compared to the Ignition if you do the office mat mod. Besides the ones on Ebay are $30ish + ship. Way cheaper compared to the Ignition.

As for the best versions of DDR. I liked Max and Max 2, but I didn't like Extreme. Personally, I prefer ITG though.

yep...thats the one. good pad.

i have ddr konamix for ps1 (old version, but newer than the original ps1 version), ddrmax and ddrmax2.

personally, the newer ddrs (extreme and extreme 2) i dont like as much as max/max2.

yep...thats the one. good pad.

i have ddr konamix for ps1 (old version, but newer than the original ps1 version), ddrmax and ddrmax2.

personally, the newer ddrs (extreme and extreme 2) i dont like as much as max/max2.

so what exactly is the difference between them?

Also any recommendations on a cheaper pad?
