I want to push my 2500+ to 3000 or 3200 speeds. My price range is $20-$30. Any suggestions?

Thermaltake Silent Boost

I am running my 2500+ @ 3000+ at stock voltage on a MSI KT6 Delta-FIS2R with MBM temps of 38c / 45c.

Ambient room temp is approx. 20c and i'm pretty sure, if I was to clean all the dust out of everything, I could get even lower temps.

Just purchased a Thermalright SLK-947U. I am excited about the purchase after reading all of the great reviews, but one thing I am perplexed about...which fan do all of you suggest? I plan to use a 92mm fan. I have looked at the Panaflo 92mm High Output (57 CFM, 35dBa, 2850RPM), the Enermax adjustable speed 92mm (25dBa, 41.71CFM @ 2000 RPM and 32.8dBa, 52.25CFM @ 2500RPM), and the Enermax 92mm Clear Ultra-Cool speed dial (28.0dBa, 47.34CGM @ 1800RPM - 32.6dBa, 52.25CFM @ 2300 RPM - 34.3dBa, 64.15CFM @ 2800RPM). Any other suggestions or some strong feelings about the fans I have listed?

I am rebuilding my home computer. I will have an Abit NF7-S, ver. 2 mobo; AMD 2500+ Barton proc; 2 sticks of 256MB Corsair PC3200LLPT; Western Digital 120GB, 8MB cache HDD; Thermalright SLK-947U Heat sink; GeForce4 Ti4200 64MB graphics card; Turtle Beach Santa Cruz sound card; Pioneer 16x DVD; TDK CDRW-4800B burner; Klipsch Promedia 2.1 speakers.

I think my next purchase will most likely be a Pioneer A06 DVD-Burner. I may also purchase a good aluminum case if I can afford it. Any other suggestions?

Thanks for the great advice that I get from all of you computer gurus here on Anandtech. Keep up the great work.

I have a Zalman ZF2 @ 5v on my SLK900a + XP2400@3200 Temps are decent, around 35-40 c, considering the fan is at 20db and 1500 RPM. Running this at full speed would be nice if you wanted extra cooling, and its quiet to boot. Basically any fan that pushes a decent amount of CFM and doesn't drive you nuts would work fine on the SLK900.
