Decent cheap Microphone ..Wich to get??????????

those are the only purposes...i have a sound blaster x-fi fatality champion series..with front audio bay...so it has those big inputs for microphones...also hav small ones at the back...so any would work... whats the cheapest yet...decent microphone i can get??

You'll need a powered dynamic microphone. The SB's don't supply power to mics. (I don't think they do) you'll need an XLR to 1/4" adapter too.

The sound card MIC input should supply a phantom power of sorts for the typical electret microphone. (not to be confused with 48V phantom power used in professional audio!) These mics are available cheaply enough - Creative USED to supply them with audio cards. They were made by Telex IIRC.

The other option is a USB mic. For voice (gaming, etc.) it will work just fine.

You can hook it up to your computer either by minijack or 1/4 phono. They're cheap ($22), have a tiny battery inside, and clips to your shirt. Sound quality is phenomenal for the price, sounds better than my expensive Sony mic does!
