Decent 15 or 17 inch lcd with a budget of $200?

15" ddon't buy that

some 19" are within your range.

IMO get any 19" Samsung or Viewsonic that is less than $200. Now if you could get widescreen one..even better.

I got a question, what is the minimum response time I should look for? This LCD is for surfing the web and typing only. Is 25ms too high?

If you aren't able to get ahold of those, then

Not wise IMO if you can get the 730B for $10 more. (You get much more performance/dollar.)

At $200, you can easily get either a non-widescreen or widescreen 19 inch LCD monitor.

Would this be for gaming or just general purpose pc use?

Choices are many as already addressed. With $200 budget, you ough to go with at least 19" size. A 15"? No way, it's just way too small for regular desktop usage unless you use it for running with a small cashier machine.
