If this is true that wiis are going to become available in stores on December 16th, what time should i arrive to wait in line? Im pretty sure that Walmart, TRU, BestBuy, CC, Target, etc...will have them. Which store is the best one to go to in order to obtain a wii, and what time should i pitch a tent?

A lot of stores hold them for Sunday, so yeah it's likely that it'll be in stock on the 16th. No idea how early you'll have to get there.

Yep according to Speedy at CAG. This will likely be the last weekend to have a shot at these in-store. Otherwise, you'll have to get lucky and catch them online.

I'll likely be out front of a local Target on Sunday to help my brother get a Wii for his daughter unless something comes up online.

There was a Wii bundle at Walmart.com briefly today but I couldn't get it to checkout without giving me an error message about the configuration. So, I missed out.

So basically you're going to have to camp out.

So if I happen to have one thats still sealed after Decembe 16th, its resale price is gonna skyrocket?

Maybe maybe not.

I'd put odds that 60% of the people who are going to camp are going to scalp it = tons of supply on ebay = lower than average returns

Just speculation of course

if you're asking 410 for a barebones I don't think you're going to get much more than that.

450 on ebay less fees is going to be around 400 net

They may have some in stock, but nowhere near enough to meet demand. As for which store to try, I would say the one that gets the least amount of traffic in your area 😉

I went to a local TRU last Saturday at about 7pm. There was already about half a dozen people camped out for the Wii line.

so, does anyone know what time people usually get there to camp out?

As of late, it's been similar to black friday.

ok, i will keep that in mind. If i go to walmart, can i wait in the electronics department for a wii?

Two local stores just had a lottery yesterday morning for the chance to buy one. The clerk said the lines were let in at 6:45 A.M., and the drawings held at 7:00 A.M. No idea how long people waited in line for, but apparently everyone in line got a ticket for the drawing regardless of whether they were there all night or showed up at 6:45.

I would just call them and ask.

My local walmart makes people wait outside like they should.

In stock at amazon for 4 minutes today.

Which was complete crap. I got WiiAlert and went to Amazon but they only had the Marketplace sellers up for $500+. I refresh the page and eventually get it to show the Wii for $249. But when I add it to my cart, Amazon says it is no longer available.

SUCH BS!!!!

I was at my PC too and went to Amazon immediately after getting the Wiialert. It just kept pulling up the $500+ price instead of the Amazon $249 price. And then when it finally pulled up the $249 price, they were out of stock. :|

I think I'm more pissed because I'm trying to get this for my brother to give to his daughter for Christmas. I probably wouldn't give a crap if I was getting it for myself.

Got my WiiAlert text and had 3 Wiis ordered with overnight Prime shipping 30 seconds later.
