Deceiving people on AIM

Is there any way to make myself appear "idle" on aim, while using the computer??

Just block all users in the prefrences. if you want to allow certain people to see you, there is a section that you can allow the members that you type in to see you.

I think there's something called Instant Idler, but I'm still don't quite get why you'd want to sign on to AIM and appear to be idle. 😕

So i can use aim, and not talk to people that I don't want to without having to block them ;-)

i know with gaim you can set your idle to how long youve been idle on gaim, not your computer, they have a windows build now too

I just create a second screen name and log on using gaim, trillian, or AIM+.
