so citibank offered me a loan of $5000 at 25%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

anyone know a bank that does unsecured loans at lower %'s? The guy at citibank recommended bank of america....anyone deal with them?

i just want a set monthly payment knowing that at the end my debt is paid.

btw my debt is slightly lower, about $500 since the OP

have more money to SAVE.

i need to start saving, and while i have these bills lingering i cant see the point of saving till they're paid.

85% of them arent things that are fun lol. Medical bills, car repairs, etc. Add to that a medical procedure that wasnt 100% covered

It all started when i switched jobs and had to pay for medical for 3 months. That started the BS year i had in 2004

How bad can it be? Pay off the bills, and then start saving... (Maybe saving a little bit here and there in the meantime) :)

Have you ever been in debt?

I mean trust me its not 10's of thousands of dollars. Its a measly $6000. Its nothing!! but i havent made any ground on it in the last 6 months. Things just pop up that cant be avoided, and i get right back in the hole

I had the same attitude to people with money problems. Pay it off and stop spending. Until you've been in that spot, you really dont know what its like

Take out a personal loan and pay off all your debts. That's what I did to clear up all my CC debt.

Just be glad that you don't have the 55K in debt that I have.

And I don't want to hear anyone bitchin and complainin. I live just fine with it. It's the system I use.

If you own a house, you could remortage and use money from that to pay of the loans, and then just pay back more money on your house. Those rates will probably also be lower than conventional loan rates (in the UK they are at least).

I hear that, I'm just under 70k with all my student loans, car payments, cc debt (which is relatively small)...and I do A-OK myself, even with my measly $34k a year job. It's all about budgeting and being smart with your money. Eventually I'll reap the rewards of my labors, but sometimes you just gotta hunker down, buy cases of tuna fish, and not go out every weekend.

Having a roommate split the costs of rent & utilities helps too. ;)

i am going thru CCCSla.org and its not debt consolidation but you make one payment which is much lower.

they are well trusted and they are well worth it. They have different offfices aroudn teh country. You can call them and ask for the one in your state.

Well, the worse case was to make you feel better. :D There are a lot of people more worse off then you for one reason or another.

That being said...my advice is to try to find a personal loan, either that or go back in time and don't get into so much debt. haha.
