Debris Under the Screen

I enjoy my devices, but one of my biggest frustrations appears to be debri that is under the screen (i.e. between the top layer and the screen layer). I current annoyance is with my Nintendo 3DSXL which I have found multiple spots which are visible in bright conditions and dark backgrounds. Nintendo says I should send it in to get repaired, but my experience with that in the past has been less than stellar.

I had a similar issue with my original 3ds and even after sending it in continued to find debris.

My tablets have been similar.

Is stuff under the screen just a part of electronics? Are my standards unattainable?

That sucks. I haven't used my 3DS in a bit, but it's been pretty dirt free. I've had good experiences with Nintendo RMA's. Both items I sent back to them had cosmetic flaws, and I got devices back that appeared brand new.

As for the more broader question, NO, dirt isn't common at all. You probably just had a bad streak with dirt, like I get with dead/stuck pixels. lol

I would say it used to be a part of electronics, but now many screens are so well fused to the glass that it's impossible to get stuff in there. I guess the 3dxl hasn't moved to that yet but yeah, it annoys me too. I just haven't seen it in a while.
