Does the latest version of Debian "see" drives large than 137GB?

I need to know as I will be attempting to install a 400GB ATA100 drive on an ASUS CUSL2 mobo running Debian.

If your hardware supports LBA48 (if it's even remotely new, it probably does), the kernel will use it automatically.

I found I need the latest BIOS, 1014 I think. It's a Beta BIOS though. The board is currently running 1009.

Woody is oldstable, no one should be installing that. But even so, you could install it, update to a 2.6 kernel and then resize the partitions fairly easily.

And I had to fight with Fedora the past few days, the install may be nice and the bootup screen looks cool but yum is ass and the base repository has virtually no packages in it so it's pretty much worthless.
