Debating on RAM purchase

i suggest corsair value selects. the real life performance isn't that noticable, about 3-5%. save the extra money on a better cpu/gpu.

Gskill guess I've never heard of them reviews weren't that great.

That Corsair would probably rock if you got the bucks.
The Corsair value is much cheaper like the other guy said but I had to turn mine down to get it to run stable so may try the more expensive stuff next time.

I was debating those but I was planning to OC the Venice a bit... how good are they for overclocking?

Sigh, it's amazing how so many people think that your CPU overclock will be limited by your RAM. There's something called a memory divider that will allow you to run your memory at a different speed of your CPU FSB ratio. So you could set a 166/200 divider and run your RAM at 208mhz while your CPU FSB is at 250mhz.

I get order the 2GB Samsung Kit with heat speaders from www.Buyaib.com
Never heard of them before I order but shipping was free and it was cheaper then all the other ram and this one came with heat speaders. Thier web site is very basic, but its organized well and very fast. While newegg slow cluttered site is getting on my nervers.

I know I'm taking a "small" chance. I will let you know how far I OC the ram when I get it tomorrow.

I got the corsair valuselect and with out even using a divider I have my cpu and ram running at 2.3 and thats only a start

I would just suggest going with value RAM from a reputable manufacturer. However, if you are a serious overclocker nothing beats that G.Skill for the price. Just look at some of the very impressive overclocks the G.Skills are getting.
