How are the drivers and everything w/ XP64 now?

I use photoshop - sony vegas - Office 2003, will all of these work ok in 64-bit??

I have a 7600GT, nvidia up to date on drivers now?

How are the games...all of'em work now?

If you're using/used it, i'd like to know your opinion of it. Thanks.

I've been on 64-bit XP for nearly a year now, and my conclusion is that it's just a real pain in the arse. Your mileage may (and will) vary.

Photoshop (CS, CS3 Beta) and Office (2007) work. NVIDIA's drivers are on-par with their 32-bit counterparts. Games seem to work fine, at least the ones that I play. Driver support still isn't 100%, though. I had to do a bit of digging around to find drivers for my Chaintech AV-710, Canon iP1700 and Microsoft IntelliType Pro-required keyboard - why aren't these offered on Microsoft Update for x64 (IIRC the AV-710 had drivers on MU for 32-bit)? Also, get used to random quirks, like thumbnails for .avi files not appearing, etc.

Oh, and if you're on a university network, make sure that they offer a 64-bit build of the supplied/required antivirus. Here, the computer services department requires that everyone run SAV CE - except they didn't offer up a working 64-bit build until I poked them long enough about it. They refuse to offer a 64-bit firewall, though, so I'm sorta screwed in that department...
