My Dell 2405FPW is starting to show it's age. Frequent but temporary burn-in issues are getting to be a very ugly part of using this monitor so I think it is time to move on.
I've browsed through the LCD thread on here, as well as some other sites and have come down to pretty much two choices. Moving from 24 inch to 23 inch isn't a big deal.
The Samsung XL2370-1 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824001380
and
The Dell SP2309W http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/p...9&sku=320-7641
The dell has a much higher resolution, but honestly when I have to downsize my gaming resolution due to performance issues it irritates me so that might not be a good thing. I believe the dell has a glossy surface, and I've heard the samsung is more of a matte style, which I prefer. One concern about the samsung is no height adjustment. I have a 5.1 speaker setup and use the height slider on my dell to fit the middle display under my monitor.
Does anyone have opinions on either? I've honestly been pleased with both brands, but I am leaning towards the samsung.
