Deathly Hallows to be split into 2 Movies

I think this is good for those that actually read the books. They will be able to talk about the details and actually go in depth into the story without having to take out minor but key points. Well what else are you going to do, we have to pay for it anyway?

They spent the first 400odd pages of DH wandering around from place to place. If any book didn't need 2 movies, it's numero 7.
 
well while rowlings is a money hungry whore (I am not so much into the books/movies, but her blocking the fan site from their book is bad karma)...

The fans cried out for longer movies to get more of the book elements shown...Rowlings was more than happy to comply.

I wouldn't be surprised if she started writing shorter books more often.
 
Well, good! The longer the books get, the more the movies miss. Pity they didn't start this sooner.

Ughhhh at the 6-month delay between chapters, though. THAT is Hollywood greed right there.

Part 1 = all the shit before the hogwarts fight

part 2 = no drama at all. no talking. pure fighting to death. emphasis on blood and dark wizardry. turn this shit into some all out brawl.

I bet many fans would disagree. Their #1 complaint seems to be, "yeah the movie was good, but they left out a lot of stuff from the book".
 
Yea but... why make the last movie different.

I'd be all for it if they left everything in in the other movies. But if they're going to make JUST the last movie comprehensive, it seems like it'd be a weird shift from the other movies.
 
are these going to be released at the same time? I'm afraid to read the article because I haven't read the book yet.

Werent the books getting longer and longer so it was tougher to fit stuff into 1 movie? Either way, this is a genius way to make money. Literally 2x the profits
 
deathly hollows is too long as it is. hey, lets sit in the woods another three chapters!
 
if they can make order of the phoenix into 1 movie, they should definitely be able to make deathly hallows into 1
