LOS ANGELES -- Alaina Reed-Amini, the Broadway star and TV actress best known for her long-running roles on "Sesame Street" and "227," has died. She was 63.

Reed-Amini died Dec. 17 at St. John's Health Center in Santa Monica after a two-year battle with breast cancer, her publicist Billy Laurence said Monday.

Previously known as Alaina Reed Hall, she remarried in 2008. Her stage credits include "Chicago" and "Hair." She appeared in several movies, including "Cruel Intentions" and "Death Becomes Her," and in guest-starring roles on numerous TV shows such as "ER," ''NYPD Blue," ''The Drew Carey Show" and "Ally McBeal."

She also played Rose Holloway on the situation comedy "227," Halfway through the first season, Rose became the unexpected landlord of the building after the building's stingy slumlord Mr. Calloway died out of the blue. Rose stayed on as landlady until the fourth season.

Oh yea I remember her now. I loved the crap out of Sesame Street. All other kids shows are fail in comparison

Nope, this lady doesn't count. It has to be someone prominent that makes news headlines. Chris Henry was #1, then Brittany Murphey #2. #3 is still forthcoming.

Being a child of 70s, I remember Olivia fondly. I shall miss her, even though the I havent watched the show since 1977. I still have a place in my heart for Sesame Street.

Heres and old favorite I saw on youtube the other day that I had playing in my head for awhile, telephone rock.

I remember her well on Sesame Street when I was younger. I also remember Gordon and my fellow Bronx native Maria fondly as well. I see they are still on the show. rip Olivia
