LOS ANGELES -- The death toll in Southern California now stands at 19 after five days of torrential rain.

Another body has been found as dozens of firefighters wielding shovels and listening devices have been attacking the mountain of mud that buried much of La Conchita, Calif., Monday.

So far they've unable to find any survivors of the landslide that struck the tiny coastal town.

At least four people are dead and 14 were hurt when a hillside gave way. Between 20 and 27 people remain missing.

Ralph Arriola of the Los Angeles County Fire Department said, "We were digging and searching, digging and searching all night." Arriola said he didn't find anyone.

The Southern California hillside turned to liquid, and then the screams and honking horns could be heard.
