A friend and I went to go rent a movie and he picked out Death To Smoochy, I couldn't even finish watching it. Despite what i would call a fairly good cast ( Robin Williams + Edward Norton ) this movie is GOD AWFUL. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES rent this POS.

I personally thought it was an excellent movie.
People don't seem to like movies that don't fit a certain mold. You gotta open up a bit.

I agree with the above poster - I thought it was great. Hell, I was even persuaded to purchase it on DVD :D

True, but pi was such a budget flick... it could've used some more hollywood jazz don't you agree?

Great movie. You have to have an appreciation for the absurd to enjoy it. If your favorite movie of all time is T3 then yes, you won't like this movie.

It's called black humor. I loved this movie.

Funny Story:
Was at Blockbuster looking for a movie to rent for the entire family, which includes me, my wife, my mother and my seven-year-old son. Saw the box for Death To Smoochy with Robin Williams and a pink dinosaur costume and instantly thought it would be a movie in the manner of Mrs. Doubtfire. After quickly scanning the synopsis on the back and neglecting to check the rating, I took the movie home.

Needless to say, we were in for a surprise....

Robin Williams Character "Rainbow Randolph" cracked me up. The scene where he switched the regular cookies with the ones shaped like Penises that Smoochy gave to the kiddies was a hoot! Also the Character of the Ex Irish Prize Fighter was hillarious too.

I could have used a bit more money but it was pretty good as it was.

Is this a Hi Jack or a side track?

Is that the one where he is some kind of a homeless druggie? (edit, read the synopsis, it is the movie I was thinking about but it doesnt mention drugs, saw it a long time ago, I must have taken his derangement for drug use)

My favorite Robin williams movie is "What dreams may come" <<wicked movie
