Death threats are up 400% against the president since Obama took office in January.

Oh wait...

"It's not [a] 400 percent [increase]," Sullivan said during a heated exchange with Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-D.C.), who suggested the service needed additional agents to protect the first African-American president.

"I'm not sure where that number comes from," he said, adding that the number of threats against Obama "are the same level as it has been [against] the last two presidents."

I guess we really do have to watch out for all of those bigoted tea partiers clinging to their guns and religion.

your point? You think this is proof that death threats haven't increased? We all know your kind would kill this man given the opportunity.

So you think the director of the Secret Service, that federal agency charged with protecting the president, is conspiring to conceal a massive increase of death threats that you, in your tinfoil-hatted wisdom within your mom's basement, clearly perceive?

Moron. (My apologies to any other morons reading this; I certainly do not mean to associate you with this particular moron.)

Anyone who thinks Obama's life is in danger has clearly never encountered Biden or Pelosi.

Given the total nuts in the tea bagger and radical right Republican movement, I am not surprised by a ramp up in Obama death threats.

After all, what do we expect from delusional nuts given extra added rants from nuts like Palin, Limbaugh, Glen Beck, and the whole radical right spectrum who are basically lying sacks of shit in denial.

And even if some delusional ultra right wing nut manages to assassinate Obama, it still will not change the fact that the USA voter overwhelming rejected the ultra right wing agenda, and nothing will change that fact. And just like the JFK assassination in 1963, the backlash effect would be almost certain to pass the posthumous Obama legacy into the law of the land.

Well I don't think the SS has to worry any of the Obama haters posting in P&N killing the president (save 1 or 2 real whack jobs) seeing as that the only weapons they are willing to lift are their keyboards.

See Iraq and Afghanistan.

Why should I have to lift my keyboard? I already type on it - lifting it should be the government's responsibility, you selfish right wing nut!

Oh wait, just because some nutty census worker might of hung himself while trying to foist off some red herring, its proves the entire rest of the delusionary radical right are sane????????

You are still delusional and logic challenged.

But wait wait, maybe the entire dimocrat party should follow the census worker example, by committing mass suicide thereby bankrupting all insurance companies. It still will not save the radical right of the GOP, because by a 3 to 1 margin, the GOP electorate thinks you radical right kooks are, how to do we say it, kooks.

LOL
I am logically challenged but you keep putting forth this image of "those crazy tea baggers" with out one real example of a negative action perpetrated by one of them.

Guess which one is after Obama's inauguration and which one is after those "tea baggers" marched on Washington and then tell me which group rightfully deserves a negative image.

The fact of the matter is that aside from some yelling at town hall meetings those "crazy tea baggers" have been very respectful and lawful while those against the movement have assaulted its members (on video) and have been generally disrespectful.

Add this all with the Obama administration report over the "tea party terrorists" earlier this year and you will see that it is only an attempt by this administration to get these people painted negatively by the media.

oh mr. Tennessee,

I remember once I was in Tennessee. I saw a girl using tobacco chew, a man on the side of the road selling honey (his sign was spelled wrong) but the best part was when our muffler broke we took it to a repair shop and he welded a hanger around it and fixed the muffler (that shit lasted for like 2 years and cost like 30 bucks so kudos to you and yours). I just wouldn't want your kind near a black president. ():)

Wow, you and 399 Republicans is all that's left?

The rest must have left the country already. What are you waiting for?

Wow. Amazing comeback as usual.

Maybe someone should resurrect that "faux news" thread from a while back because apparently some news sources make up news while others don't even retract or acknowledge their mistake.

(Get it - Faux = FOX)

I'm very much having trouble locating the point in this thread...

Patranus' point is that if death threats against Obama were down, he would have posted a thread about that too.

Probably liberals who realize how establishment he is.

Wait... I thought liberalism IS the establishment?!?!? So when conservatives talk about the 'mainstream media,' they really mean the conservative media?... fuck, I'm so confused...

No, the point is that the media has been played and used to portray the tea party movement as this group of hillbillies clinging to their god and guns not wanting to give a black president a chance.

Couple this with the Obama administration report going out to law enforcement agencies and you can see why this is a big deal.

Oh, but when "faux" news plays some stock footage the liberals on this forum get their panties in a bunch but when CNN/AP/Yahoo run fraudulent stories about death threats to paint the tea party movement negativly, well, it is no big deal.

If you are going to take a position on something the least you can do is be consistent.

It's sad the Obama administration staffers have to make up stories like this to paint the opposition as threatening so they can gain more power over them.

In case you didn't notice, the Republicans lost the election. No one had to make any stories for Democrats to gain power. Nice fantasy, though. Now go play with your guns, and shut the fuck up.
