He can get DSL for about $5 cheaper a month in his area than what they are paying for AOL and the DSL would be much faster. But.... i guess the wife is always right.

Really though... I think the typical aol user is really not savvy enough to switch. All they know of the internet is what AOL smacks them in the face with.

That's a big issue, many just honestly care enough to switch from having one program to now having two seperate programs for email and web browsing.
Can we blame them though? For what they do, the few bucks won't matter and the service is OK for them.
