America lived in a golden age of abundance. That has come to an end.

Moreover, the dream of rising to wealthy independence is cast aside for shared wealth. Today we are all poor, tomorrow even more so. Those still wealthy will scoff at this notion, but their day will come.

Now that we have no real enemies the Capitalist class is in full on consumption mode. Who is going to stop them once America is looted and the government of we the people sold off to the highest bidder? They can retire to some island with their offshore accounts if things got bad here, no threat of soviet tanks to invade the weakened USA, no consequences, no real purpose for them even to pretend to be better (or the shining beacon on the hill as Reagan called it)

We are just getting a taste of what our corporations have been doing to the rest of the world.

The vultures have come home to roost in this global neoliberal economy.
