Death of a battery

I use 4 Energizer Nimh to power a Canon A70 digicam. All was good for a while, but now my batteries can't bring it to life any longer. I'd guess I recharged the battery only a couple dozen times. That's no where near the advertised lifetime of 1000 recharges.

Have any of you experienced similar results with your batteries?

My battery can power up smaller electronic devices like my girlfriend's vibrator. It simply doesn't have the voltage for my camera. This sucks. She gets to have fun and I don't.

All I want to say is I can't wait for a true 1.5 volts rechargeable battery to reach store shelves and make me happy.

Why does your girlfriend need a vibrator? Is it because you have a small cawk? 😛
