Death Fixation?

Modeps

Lifer
I never understood what the facination was with watching people get killed. The Faces of Death series was very popular with kids when I was in high school and honestly, I was quite appaled that they would find enjoyment of watching real people die. Other times, people want to see the terrorist video of decapitations... I just dont get it.

Your thoughts?

Because if I were mauled by a group of lions, I would want it to be on the Internet for people to see. One way or another I will be remembered! 😀 😛

I think it's innate in people to watch others suffering and that's why beheadings and hangings were once huge public spectacles. Also there was probably a little "at least it's not me" thrown in there.

As for myself I do not watch the terrorist beheadings or the other grisly videos that are so popular on the internet.

It's kinda hard to kill someone with your eyes closed, unless you are in a car but that doesn't count.

Well its normal to find a weird urge to want to watch it but to actually enjoy it is insane. I never liked watching faces/traces of death movies but I was always up to it and when youre tripping on acid its quite the rush.

No, I feel horrible when something like a car crash happens, even if nobody gets hurt (obviously you can't tell at the time of the crash).
