I like their music.

Just went to a concert last night in Berkeley, and it rocked. First half was meh, but then again I don't know all the songs from their old album (Photo Album). I know more Transatlanticism and Plans songs, and honestly, I loved it. They're the best sounding band live..

You just want people to agree with you or what? I don't get the point of this thread.

Nobody even knows what emo means anymore. It's applied to any person that wears black, or has any feelings of sadness, or is thin, or any band with any song that's not 100% upbeat, or any band with a breakup song, or any band that the person talking just plain doesn't like.

Very good old stuff (Photo Album, You can play these songs with chords), Transatlanticism was their breakout album which was well produced and overall good. Plans; meh, one or two good songs the rest are not up to DCFC standards.

Ben also collaborated with DNTEL for The Postal Service so if you like Death Cab, check out Postal Service

I think they suck for the most part. Their "hit" is ok (and highly reminiscent of eclectic 80s band I Start Counting), but the rest of the music on the same album is crap.

Exactly. Society, as a whole, is attempting to surpress negative emotion in all avenues, thanks to a few kids who slit their fvcking wrists for attention. It's getting to the point that I can't listen to the music I like, or portray anything other than straight-up badassery, or people start handing me razorblades and telling me to go cry in a corner and slit my wrists (I damn near cut his throat with his own damned razorblade)

I've LOVED this band for years. Its great to see them achieving the success they should have been all along.
