Getting Burnt to Death can't be good. People shriek, scream, go bonkers, run amok....its a horrible, horrible death. (Hate to bring religion into any off-topic discussion but according to my beliefs, that's the reason punishment in Hell is burning forever, rather than being frozen forever).

Frozen to death: I think drowning is a lot worse. Or a car-wreck.

According to my teacher who had a friend drown and then get revived, his friend said that it was a really nice peaceful way to die.

I would say that freezing to death seems like it would be the least painful.

Drowning would be horrible due to the horrible feeling of panic that would no doubt set in. I've heard that once your lungs fill up it's not that bad though (but it's not like anyone's ever given a first hand account after they died).

Fire would be horrible. I don't know how long someone would last before passing out. Most people die in fires from smoke inhalation rather than actually burning to death. I don't want to imagine what it would be like to actually burn until you died.

Beginning of last year, I was revived from gas poisonning. The water heater in question was powered by gas, and was not designed with ventilation in mind.

Anyways, from what I can tell, that is a real good way to go. Right from the start, I just felt real cold, grabbed onto the towel and then went under. The next thing I know I was on an ambulance going to the emergency room.

Now I open all the windows when I shower, no matter how flipping cold it is.

freezer is definitly easier...most people fall asleep when they get lost in the mountains and just die in their sleep
burning to death would suck ass...you cant sleep...you just scream in pain as you watch your skin ooze off until you finally pass out...
drowning is much easier than both...i've almost drown more than once...it is very scary, yes, but it doesnt hurt...you are to worried about living to think about your lungs filling with water
crucifixion would suck balls...i dont know many details about it, but i dont know how it would compaire to burning alive

i heard once that being in space w/o protection would be the worst...your blood boils under your skin and other nasty stuff.. >.<

You'd pretty much be gone as soon as you breathed in fire.

This thread reminded me of this poem:
Some say the world will end in fire;
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To know that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

-Robert Frost

I would say fire would be quite painful, so I would probably go with freezing to death, even though it takes longer.

You're a smart, smart man.

Living way up north, I have been told heard several times that freezing to death is painless. Sure, at first you're freakin' cold and it's pretty painful, but after you go numb the pain goes away and you peacefully fall into a deep sleep.
