Death Adder vs. MX518

I have had most of the Razer mice over the years and love them all.
Just got a DeathAdder this past weekend.

I like the smooth motion of a quality mouse. Am writing this at work right now and I hate having to use a generic MS mouse. It stinks by comparison.

Having said that: I see no reason why a good gaming Logitech or Microsoft mouse should be any worse than a Razer. I dont think it matters much, but if you go with any of them you wont want to use cheap mice ever again.

It's mostly shape and weight that matters to me. To me all of razor's mouse are light, and easy to pick up, which fits my style. I had diamondback and deathadder. Logitech one, not so much. Also have a G5 and hated it. If you pick up the mouse a lot when gaming, it's worth a try.

If it was choosing between the two I would recommend the DeathAdder, but if you already have a well function MX518, there really isn't much to justify forking over the extra cash for what would basically be a negligible upgrade.

Yeah, I was actually going to give this 518 to my brother, who has a crap 9-year-old ballmouse (I don't know why he didn't try and fit a mouse in his computer budget)

So DeathAdder it is then!

The 518 is the second best mouse on the market after Deathadder, and the difference is not significant enough to warrant an upgrade.

ESReality are great for posting fact based reviews and separating the real quality products from the fakes.

I would probably get another 518 because it's still about $20 cheaper.

i dont rate the deathadder at all

its the first/last razer mouse i'll ever buy

it skips on the eXacMat on both sides with cs 1.6 alot

have the lastest firmware and drivers etc...still sucks

i'll probably switch to the g9

I bought new Razer Diamondback mouse and it feels great a lot better than Microsoft intelliMouse Blue Optical. The price is not bad 50 buck.

I prefer the 510 to the 518 actually. Might seem strange but I don't like my 518 as much as my MX510. And I like Logitech a lot more then Diamondback's. I've never bought one of my own, but I've used many friends' and I prefer the design of the logitech.
