Dear, you'd be at the Hilton!

Thought I posted this this morning...I was wondering why I didn't get any hits on my phone.

I am having breakfast here and at this location breakfast is not complementary. Normally at this chain there is free breakfast. They do put an announcement right on your bed though that it's $10 and welcome you to enjoy the morning with them.

So that's what I was doing this morning. Sat down, pulled up email and surfing the web.

Next thing I know is I hear this very loudly:

"I AIN'T PAYING NO TEN DOLLAHS AND FIFTY CENTS FOR NO FREE BREAKFAST! YOU DIDN'T TELL ME IT WAS NOT FREE!"

anyway I don't really remember all the play by play now...however the funny part was the chick said "IF I WAS PARIS YOU WOULDN'T MAKE BE PAY THIS!"

The waitress said "I am sorry, yes Paris would have to pay here. However, I really think she'd be having her breakfast at the Hilton next door."

I thought it was funny when it happened. Maybe it's just lame.

I just don't understand why someone would assume something is free without verifying first.

Well I have been affected by that too. You see a buffet and plates out...miss the signage that states the price.

I never made a big deal about it though knowing it's my error. Now I usually ask at check in what kind of breakfast is available.

My company tries to book us at complementary breakfast locations due to us sometimes missing lunch and dinner due to walking into a train wreck.

so you stayed at the Motel 6 next to the Hilton?

LoL

I am at another location...it's $170 a night and I am here for 12 days.

It'd be one fucking monster of a Motel 6. Though I have never been to one I think.

In reality, I don't think this woman was staying here. I have been to hotels where people walk in off the street for the free breakfast.

So do they have some sort of notice in the restaurant about the price?

And for $170 a night you would expect a free hooker at least to be included. 😛

I've stayed at motel 6 many times. Stayed at the dollar inn too. Fuck it, if I'm travelling, I'm staying at the cheapest place I can find that has a bed and roof over my head.

Unless my company is paying..

I was given a card at my table last night when eating and drinking for massage service. $135 for a half hour, $185 for a full hour.

It's expensed, but about the same level I normally stay in for personal stays now-a-days. There is a big jump from a $30 room to almost every $30 increment up to about $150...then I think it's more a doubling at each level after that until $500-600ish. Then there is no logic.

This is only applicable in the major US. I realize overseas and outside common grounds can fluctuate greatly either way.
