Kind of feel sorry for Bush, he seems like a decent enough guy that just tried to do what he thought was best for the country. I think the only thing you can really fault him for is surrounding himself with scummy people like Cheney, Rove, etc.

Felix is right.

GWB was the greatest president of the 21st century and every red-blooded patriot American knows this.

Obama was also the greatest president of the 21st century and every blue-blooded patriot American knows this.

(See what I did there?)

FDR is supposed to be our good/great leader?! WTF!!?

There are MUCH more obvious choices for American scientists (Thomas Edison, Nicola Tesla). Even one of the European scientist examples (Einstein) was wise enough to become an American.

I'm sure whoever created the image thought Bush was comparable to Hitler. Come on! That kind of nonsense ruins the whole damn thing.

Another thing:
Some revolution in Europe is comparable to THE MOON LANDING?!

Whoever made that image failed to make a point.

Pretty sure the point wasn't to directly compare people and events, but illustrate that both continents have their pros and cons, good times and bad, etc. You're seriously over-analyzing it, lol.

The point is, it seems they bent over backward to slight the US in those comparisons, so whoever made the image shows clear bias and the point is completely lost.

No, I just can't see into the future.

It's like when newspapers/magazines release their "Best of 2010" stories in October. It's extremely frustrating logically to release a "Best of ..." before the period in question is complete, and while it's true that something may be the "Best of 2010" up to that point of 2010, I think it's still intellectually dishonest to claim it's unequivocally the "Best of ..." (even though that's exactly what I just did to prove a point).

Bar the fact that what you did was effectively the best of 2011 on the 6th February... ;)

I agree with you, it's annoying to do "the best of X" before the period is over... especially when it would be so easy to tag "so far" on.

Unfortunately, doing that is really common. I would bet that sometime in January or February a movie will be released and the commercial/promo for it will contain a quote to the effect of "Best [insert genre here] of 2011!"

This too. Liberals are horrible people too. At least fatties are genetic defects. Liberals, on the other hand, choose to be stupid and worthless. It's pathetic. Everyone knows this.

Repubs are fucking idiots. Everyone knows that too. Not only that, they fill other peoples minds with fear and hate.
Fill Texas with all the repub asshats and give it to Mexico.

So much hate going on around here towards America, we all know it's jealousy. Before you say "nuh uh it's not jealousy", allow me to introduce exhibit A - there has not been a hate thread about Ethiopia, or Zimbabwe, or The Maldives, etc... ever.

So, you can take your jealous bitten ass (or arse for you backwards "blokes"), and play spin the bottle while sitting on a bottle.

On behalf of most Americans (excluding the self loathing idiots, you can find them in post 2, 4, 7, and so on), piss off world. Translating this so that the other "blokes" can understand - get fucked.

America is hands-down, the best place to live.. no-one works that hard,, our governments prints debt,, and we eat for free.. :D:D:D

HIGH FIVE. america:D:D:D i hope it never ends.

You only think that because you're extremely defensive. You're only defensive because people have told you your entire life that you're superior because you're an American, and part of you knows that's just bullshit. Anyone who hangs their self-worth on the achievements of their countrymen (which they themselves had nothing to do with) is pathetic.

America is a collective of awesomeness. This is why all Americans can feel pride when a fellow countryman shames the rest of the world through superior achievement. This is why everyone tries to come to America, they want in on the awesomeness.
