So I ordered my gf something for Christmas, and the shipping was delayed. Ok, no biggie. I explained it to her, she was fine with it. It should've gotten here a few days after Christmas. Around New Year's I realized the package still isn't here...I waited a few days and then checked the online tracking; here's what I get:

Dec 29 2010 Entered USPS Facility - SCF BOSTON, MA
Dec 29 2010 Manifested (Postage Paid)
Dec 29 2010 Received at UPS Mail Innovations Destination RPF Windsor, CT
Dec 28 2010 Transferred to UPS Mail Innovations Destination RPF Windsor, CT
Dec 27 2010 Processed at UPS Mail Innovations Origin RPF San Leandro, CA
Dec 27 2010 Received at UPS Mail Innovations Origin RPF San Leandro, CA
Dec 27 2010 Mail Retrieved From Shipper

Are you FUCKING SHITTING ME?!?? It was handed off to the USPS 11 goddamn days ago at this point. There have been no notes stuck to my door indicating anyone ever tried delivering it, so that's out. Fuck these guys. Fuck them. I call the 800 number, and guess what? It tells me they're having too many calls and can't help me. They didn't give me any USPS tracking number, so I have no fucking clue where this package is. So I call my local post office, and they use the UPS tracking number, and actually find the package...on the way back to the goddamn motherfucking sender. They said the address on it was undeliverable. Guess what? It's the same fucking address I've had this company deliver to numerous times in the past. Thanks a lot fucking pieces of shit.

I think I'll write these worthless cum belchers an email.

Dear USPS

I have a package that was supposed to arrive shortly after Christmas, via UPS mail innovations. I realized the other day that it still has not arrived. So I went to the UPS Mail Innovations website, and when I entered the tracking number here's what I get:

Dec 29 2010 Entered USPS Facility - SCF BOSTON, MA
Dec 29 2010 Manifested (Postage Paid)
Dec 29 2010 Received at UPS Mail Innovations Destination RPF Windsor, CT
Dec 28 2010 Transferred to UPS Mail Innovations Destination RPF Windsor, CT
Dec 27 2010 Processed at UPS Mail Innovations Origin RPF San Leandro, CA
Dec 27 2010 Received at UPS Mail Innovations Origin RPF San Leandro, CA
Dec 27 2010 Mail Retrieved From Shipper

I live in Boston so unless it was being delivered via dromedary I have no clue how it could take 12 damn days to get my package to me. I call my local post office, and was informed that it was marked as undeliverable as addressed. Really? That's interesting because I've gotten about a dozen packages from the same company in the past, all sent to the same address. That's some solid postal work right there. Thanks a lot guys.

USPS tracking is worthless. In most cases I see this:

Jan 3, 2010: Mail Retrieved From Shipper
Jan 6, 2010: Delivered

Except the second item won't show up until around Jan 10th

I never had issues with USPS... all my shipments were on time.

UPS mail innovation OTOH is a huge PITA.

i had an issue with them during the christmas season... i ordered a present for somebody that came in a pretty big box (it was a trainset) and apparently they decided my neighborhood was nice enough that they could just leave it on my doorstep, even though its in view of a major intersection. of course it got stolen before i got home from work. fortunately it was through amazon so they replaced it and shipped it next day for free. amazon rocks.

I had a huge lot of expired film I sold on eBay last summer. Each shipment went out USPS flat rate priority shipping. Only two out of 58 packages didn't arrive in a timely manner, and both of those were because I messed up and forgot to include the apartment number with the address. One was returned undeliverable and I had to ship it out again, while the other was marked as delivered but never made it to the buyer. I assume it was stolen by someone else in the buyer's building.

I go USPS when I ship things mostly because their flat rate boxes make it so easy and it's not too pricey. Hopefully your stuff will arrive soon.

It is obvious what happened...You didn't give the postman a gift this year, he's upset about it and sent back your package.

Have you complained on this carrier before?

Never. He's a nice guy. Apparently it never made it to him even, at the facility they said it was undeliverable because of the address. Fabulous.

I about fell in the damn floor laughing.

What kind of shipping was it? If it was parcel post that's just asking to get screwed. I've always had good luck with priority.

Hey just be glad it's not Fedex. Just got a shipment of laptops and the guy had the nerve to deliver it with the box completely ripped apart and the laptop falling out of what was left of the box.

You should blame the company from which you bought your items. They probably screwed up on the shipping label, thats why it can't be delivered.

Next time, pay the extra couple bucks to have it delivered via someone good, aka FedEx/UPS.

Problem solved, time for pics.
