No, on any of the rock stations (the classic rock station plays them the least, on top of that, being more 70s/80s-oriented), because I'm still paying off my car, and doing maintenance the previous owner got rid of it before doing, so haven't gone in and done anything about the radio, yet.

I listen to the radio rarely. Was at my parents house for fathers day party and there is a new radio station has an "oldies" station that plays music from the late 80s and early 90s... so basically music from my prime high school days.

Doesn't make you old. It makes them babies.

I never get why this type of thing makes people feel old.

I'm 27 and my familiarity with those bands comes more from Rock Band than from radio. Also, every time someone mentions Nirvana I'm reminded of this.

Just found out the intern in my office has never heard of the bands Peal Jam, and Nirvana.

Might as well put me in a box now.

i remember when both bands were new and hearing the name on the radio was a new thing "what that band called Pearl Jam? what the"

I'll tell you what makes me feel old. When I look at my reflection in a store window, and I don't recognize for a couple seconds who the old guy is. But I feel better when realized that I remember my way back home.

Let's be honest with ourselves for a moment. Was it her lack of knowledge of these bands that really frustrated you or her voluptuous tits that you were, yet again, out of touch with? Let's self reflect.

Well considering our intern is a young man I would like to think that it is a good that that I am not obsessed with his man teets.

Somewhat similar anecdote here...

A guy I work with who is maybe 24 or so saw Foo Fighters recently. He said, 'I didn't know Dave Grohl could play the drums too!'.

Grohl might be one of the most talented musicians that came up in the 90s

Is there such a thing as "modern" rock? Most music on the top 40 station doesn't even contain real instruments.

Here's a fun pop quiz - name a billboard top 100 song in the last 5 years that contains an awesome guitar solo - ready? GO!

Here is an interesting game ask someone what their favorite Star Wars movie is. 30 or less = episode 3 36 or greater = episode 4 or 6.

WTF you on about? Everyone knows Episode 5 is the best one. I mean it's not even a contest and you don't even have it listed. o_O

Who???

Remember though that those bands may have come on the scene after some of us stopped paying attention to those that like to make noise.

I was 4 years old and loving Patsy Cline and Johnny Cash.
Grew up listenning to both
