Dear Guns and Roses ....

I am watching a recent live concert on TV (Paladia).

1) I do not recognize a single band member.
2) I know that Axle is singing but .... it took me about 5 minutes to actually beleive that it is him.

So, why am I watching a bunch of studio musicians (they are talented and unrecognizable so I think this is the likely case) with some guy I barely recognize playing as "Guns and Roses" when it is really more like a Tribute Band? Let's not BS here. This is what I am watching.

EDIT: The only good news is that they are playing the old songs .... the good ones. Sweet Child of Mine is on now. Regret #6431246 in my 38 year old like ..... not seeing them when I was 16. If GnR reunited, I'd buy tickets.

Sounds like it to me, I'll pass on it.

Axle always sounded like a male Ethel Mermen to me to begin with to be honest.

I've a nephew who is pretty good friends with Slash though, and he seems pretty cool, but I imagine he's not there.

There are only 3 bands that I will go to still from the time when I was 16. They all have something in common and that most of the original band members are still in the band.

1) Iron Maiden, Several of them band members have been replaced at one point or another, but since they got the band back together from the first time I saw them on the Powersalve tour, I would still pay money to see them.

2) RUSH - Every tour that I can get tickets for I go.

3) def leopard.

I used to like Guns and Roses and I bought the Greatest Hits 2004 album, but my manager from work that I hated bought the same damn CD and played it all the time at work and It completely ruined it for me.
